In three hours with the help of volunteers, they&#8217;ll have a chance to set up a website, choose a theme, and learn how to create different content types. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the workshop<strong>:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Instructor: Petya Raykovska, Senior Project Manager at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/hmn.md\/\">Human Made<\/a><\/li><li>Suitable age: 8 &#8211; 14 years.<\/li><li>Language: English. Volunteers helping the kids will also be fluent in Finnish and Swedish.<\/li><li>Duration: 2 hours of working, about an hour of breaks, games, show &amp; tell<\/li><li>Capacity: 20 kids<\/li><li>Equipment:<br><ul><li>Each kid will need to bring their own laptop. This is important as we&#8217;ll not be able to provide equipment for everyone.<\/li><li>A pen and a notebook (something to write on) <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Before the workshop: <ul><li>To create a website each kid will need an email address they can access on the day. It can be their own or a parent&#8217;s email address. If you know WordPress, you can also volunteer to help out during the workshop. Let us know in the <a href=\"https:\/\/2019.nordic.wordcamp.org\/tickets\/\">sign up form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Do I need to bring my own laptop?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. It&#8217;s important that each child has a computer to work on. We won&#8217;t be able to provide computers for everyone so we&#8217;re asking each parent to make sure their child has something to work on. If you&#8217;re unable to bring your own laptop, please let us know when signing up for the workshop so we can reserve one in advance for the duration of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Will food and drinks be provided?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. There will be plenty of water and snacks provided for the breaks during the workshop<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How much does it cost?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop is free but you will need to sign your child up by getting a <a href=\"https:\/\/2019.nordic.wordcamp.org\/tickets\/\">ticket<\/a> from our website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What language will the workshop be in?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The instructor will lead the workshop in English, but each child will have a volunteer speaking Finnish to help them if there&#8217;s something they don&#8217;t understand. We&#8217;ll have some volunteers who speak Swedish as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All the tickets are gone, can I still sign up? <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the workshop appears sold out, please contact us using the <a href=\"https:\/\/2019.nordic.wordcamp.org\/contact\/\">contact form<\/a> of the website. We&#8217;ll create a waitlist for everyone who didn&#8217;t sign up on time and will contact you if any of the signed up kids drop out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I signed up but my child is not going to be able to attend.
